The start of YWAM
It all started when a 20-year-old American college student, who was in the Bahamas on a singing tour, spent some time in prayer. As he leaned back in his bed and looked up, he saw what he called a "mental movie." He saw waves on a map. The waves turned into young people, going to every continent, sharing the good news about Jesus. "Was that really you, Lord?" he asked.
King's Kids is a ministry of YWAM, committed to leading children, teenagers and families into a proven knowledge of God and together make Him known to all peoples. We believe in the spiritual capacity of children and young people to minister to the Lord and others out of their own intimate relationship with God. We provide opportunities for children, teenagers, and families to be linked together in fulfilling the Great Commission.

In recent years our ministries have grown to include TESOL (training people to teach English as a Second Language), providing strategic leadership to renewal ministries in Canada, and the publication of books and on-line resources to equip those who are releasing young people in ministry.
Our teams have engaged in performing arts, service projects (like building a mud hut for a widow with AIDS) and, most recently, establishing a recording studio in Rwanda!
Got a sense of adventure and want to get off the beaten path? Come and join us!!
