As a result, many parts of the world which are closed to traditional mission work are wide open to people who come to teach English as a Second Language (ESL). ESL teachers are in demand all over the world, and native English speakers are in especially high demand as teachers since they bring with them a high level of fluency. Become a certified teacher! A TESOL certificate (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) can be the key to open doors to an exciting new career and ministry overseas! Our TESOL courses are designed to equip you to be an effective ESL teacher. The four or five week courses lead to a TESOL certificate from YWAM's University of the Nations. Let's face it -- it's not always feasible to pack up your whole team and bring them to beautiful sunny Winnipeg for a TESOL course. Where circumstances permit, we will custom-design a TESOL course for your base or organization, and bring it to you! Previous courses have been designed for agencies in North America, Europe, and Asia. Lengths vary according to the situation -- some as short as 3 days, and others as long as 5 weeks. Contact us! We can help you! Meet the instructor Doug Sadler holds an MA TTESOL degree from Providence Seminary, Winnipeg and another Master's degree from Regent College, Vancouver. He teaches English for Graduate Students at the University of Manitoba, has designed ESL curriculum, and is a frequent instructor at provincial and national TESOL conferences. He has taught and trained teachers in Canada, the US, Russia, Ukraine, and Taiwan. Graduates of his TESOL courses have taught in many countries. He lives in Winnipeg, Canada, with his family, two neurotic dogs, and a large collection of guitars.
